Appalachian Equality Chorus brings 'Broadway, Baby!' to Johnson City

The Appalachian Equality Chorus is bringing the magic of musical theatre to the region with "Broadway, Baby!", a one-night-only performance. The event is scheduled for 4 p.m. on June 7 at the Martin Center for the Arts in Johnson City, and is presented by Choice Health Network Pharmacy, according to a press release from the chorus. Featuring more than 140 singers from across the region, along with a live band, costumes and a local dance troupe, the concert showcases the full chorus — uniting voices from both Knoxville and the Tri-Cities for a vibrant and entertaining theatrical experience, according to the release. With "magic to do" and stories to tell, "Broadway, Baby!" blends iconic and contemporary musical theatre into a fast-paced revue filled with energy, humor and heart — bringing Broadway's sense of wonder to the stage.
