Johnson City Mayor Greg Cox recognized the 9-1-1 operators and East Tennessee State University's annual week of giving with proclamations at the city commission meeting Thursday. The proclamations designate April 20 through April 26 as Forever ETSU Week, in honor of the university's annual week of giving; and April 12 through April 18 as Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, in honor of the Washington County 9-1-1 operators who serve the city.
