Colonial Chemical Solutions acquires Integrity Partners Group

Colonial Chemical Solutions, a division of Colonial Group Inc., announced the acquisition of Integrity Partners Group – a specialty chemical distribution platform that includes the legacy businesses of Chemisphere and Chemsolv. "We are excited to integrate IPG's people, assets and capabilities into Colonial Chemicals' existing platform," said Rob Roberts, president of Colonial Chemical Solutions. "We see this as a natural extension of our chemical distribution business. Our initial focus is a thoughtful integration of IPG into CCS, guided by proven practices that have driven success across both organizations. Once integrated, our priority is to continue strengthening our customer and supplier partnerships supporting long-term growth and continuing to build a world-class chemical distribution and handling network." A press release states Colonial Chemical Solutions, as one of the largest independently owned chemical distribution and handling companies in the U.S. Southeast, will gain "an expanded geographical footprint" with the acquisition. The move adds complementary assets, capabilities and expertise to CCS. IPG also reportedly brings together well-established operating businesses "recognized for high-quality systems, disciplined processing and deep expertise" across the chemical supply chain. The release states Chemisphere and Chemsolv have histories in the industry and are known for their facilities' locations, operations, and ability to support efficient chemical handling and distribution. The combined organization will bring together the assets and expertise of Chemisphere, Colonial Chemicals and Chemsolv, operating as an integrated chemical and distribution handling company. The integration strengthens customer service capabilities, helps operational processes to deliver high-quality service and expands supply chain reach, according to the release. "The IPG team has been deliberately driving improvements, adding capabilities, expanding our reach into desired customer end markets while building a platform to suppor the local growth initiatives of our loyal customers and suppliers," said Darren Birkelbach, chief executive officer of Integrity Partners Group. "As a strategic component of Colonial Chemicals, I am confident this acquistion represents an incredible opportunity to accelerate the momentum we've created and further strengthen its position in the chemical distribution market." Operations will reportedly continue as usual with all existing facilities remaining active, and financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
