PIGEON FORGE — Millvina Dean, the last of the legendary ocean liner Titanic's survivors, died in 2009 at age 97.
But thousands of descendants of the 2,208 passengers who were onboard when the giant ship sank on its maiden voyage April 15, 1912, remain inexorably linked to perhaps the most famous and well-documented disaster in history.
Timothy Lightoller and Helen Benziger are among about 30 Titanic direct descendants expected to attend Saturday's 8:30 p.m. production of "A Night to Remember: An Original Musical Tribute to Titanic," at the Titanic Museum.
