NASHVILLE (AP) — Officials say two more people in Shelby County have died of heat-related causes, bringing the total to seven so far this year.
County health department spokeswoman Heather Reynolds said Monday that a man in his 60s was found inside his home last week. None of the air conditioners inside his home were working.
A 46-year-old man was discovered inside his apartment the following day. Reynolds says he had a working air conditioner, but it wasn't turned on.
None of the names of the deceased have been released.
