Friday evening at Nathan S. Hale Stadium, the Rebels did their best to live up to the comparison, demolishing the Trailblazers 42-14.
South (6-0), the fourth-ranked team in the Associated Press Class 4A poll, rolled up almost 500 yards of offense behind running back Blake Christian, who accounted for four touchdowns.
Christian spread his TDs throughout the evening, scoring in each quarter. He finished the night with 115 yards on 14 carries.
Quarterback Dylan Wieger matched Christian’s output by gaining 116 yards on 20 carries.
