Johnson City police arrested an Erwin woman Saturday on a felony shoplifting charge.
Brandi Sparks, 34, 802 Meadowview Drive, Erwin, was arrested after employees at Kmart, 3019 Peoples St., saw her take merchandise without paying for it, police said in a news release.
Charged with shoplifting over $500, Sparks was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance today.
