BRISTOL, Va. — The Bristol, Va., and Bristol, Tenn., police departments are conducting a joint investigation into a Friday night traffic accident that claimed the life of a Bristol, Va., man.
Police from both departments responded to the 500 block of State Street, where a 1995 Oldsmobile was found crashed.
A preliminary investigation has determined that the driver of the Oldsmobile, 43-year-old William Marcella, was traveling east on State Street at a high rate of speed when he lost control of the car, crashing into two vehicles parked in the 600 block of State Street on the Virginia side.
