On Jan. 23, Rise Up! honored the many community volunteers, mentors, and business and church partners who give generously of their time, talents and resources to the youth Rise Up! serves. The 2012 Rise Up! Mentor/Volunteer Appreciation Dinner was held at Grace Fellowship Church with over 150 attendees.

Rise Up! is grateful to the many individuals, churches and businesses that provide for the needs of the K-12 boys and girls who Rise Up! reaches each weekday at our campus, The Refuge. That consortium of caring community advocates for youth recognizes the importance of inspiring, influencing, and impacting kids’ tomorrows ... today.

On behalf of the staff and the board of directors of Rise Up!, thank you to all who have contributed in ways large and small to make a positive difference in the life of a child. That compassionate spirit propels Rise Up! in its mission to holistically love, influence and impact 500 under-resourced kids through life skills training, mentoring and a college education with the expectation they will do likewise for others.
