The president is scaring the American people into thinking that if this sequester happens on Friday, thousands of first responders will lose their jobs, teachers will be laid off and our defense will dwindle. Give me a break.
First of all it was President Obama who put into a bill this sequester a year ago. Then he did nothing else.
The sequester is only a slowdown in the rate of growth in this country — not the end of the world. It cuts the growth by 2 percent over 10 years.
We do have a spending problem in this country. Ask the public and you will see that 83 percent believe government is overspending. The president could use common sense and make spending cuts that are not first responders, teachers or some real defense spending cuts that are needed.
Cuts? Yes, we desperately need cuts, but there are smart ways of doing that — not this sequester. Blame Obama if this happens.
Bottom line is the president made this so-called disaster all by himself. He developed and signed the sequester. He is the leader. It is up to him to lead this country into prosperity, not ruin it. He is making stuff up to scare the living heck out of the American citizens who are out there busting their butts trying to make a living.
It’s not just the rich the president is hurting — it is the middle- class people who are too darn busy to keep track of all that Obama has done to them.
I am an angry American citizen who believes the president is more interested in making this country a one-party government than helping the very people who believed in him and voted him in as president to keep his promises but instead has broken them all.

Rewrite history if you want, but facts are not on your side. Obama and the GOP came up with this to figuratively 'put a gun to their heads' and compromise. Since the GOP will not compromise on much of anything, we are having to deal with the sequester. You can blame the de-facto King of the GOP Grover Nordquist for that.
But don't blame Obama. I don't know if you are one of those that blame him for the economic downturn (forgetting about Bush's two wars, the prescription drug benefit and tax rebates that were not paid for); that is what an incredibly short memory does to people.
