I am 100 percent fed up with the federal government. These politicians spend our money on frivolous things without blinking an eye.

What bothers me the most is the days they waste having these hearings up on Capitol Hill on whatever ticks their constituents off at the time, drill the accused and then go home and start another day as if nothing ever happened. There is no accountability and no consequences for any of the bad and sometimes illegal behaviors.

There are politicians up on the Hill right now who have broken laws, not paid their taxes and who remain in office collecting their high salaries and benefits — which they will collect for the rest of their lives. We, the people of this great country, are being taken advantage of. We are busy working hard, raising our families, doing what is right while our representatives sit high on the hog and refuse to stop all the pork spending that is coming out of our paychecks.

Something has gone really wrong with our country. While ambassadors get killed, veterans get ignored and taxes keep going up, all the while the different agencies spend money on conferences that costs millions, parties and entertaining our enemies. I am really sick of all of it.

I use to be a Democrat, then I had to change to a Republican. Now, I am an independent. If someone comes along and can put these two parties to shame, I am all in.

I want our Constitution to stand. I want our Bill of Rights to stand. I want transparency and honesty, and I don’t see that happening and haven’t for a long time. Maybe it’s time to start demanding our rights back. Leave us alone, federal government. Your job is limited and you don’t even know it.

Our states better start stepping up to the bat and start hitting home runs, or this country will fail and then there will be no turning back.
