The print media and talk show hosts are giving us their reasons for the drubbing the GOP took in the recent election. Some are asking what went wrong with Karl Rove, who spent more than half a billion dollars and got nothing to show for it.

Paul Ryan, the candidate for vice president, said too many people voted in the big urban areas. That makes sense. Some say the GOP is too white and too old. Fox News said it was voter fraud and voter suppression. Mitt Romney said it was bribery.

There were many other reasons given for the drubbing the GOP suffered. The real reason, however, was Barack Obama — the president of the United States of America.
