INMAN, S.C. — Phyllis Edwards Taylor, 69, of 131 Bentwood Drive, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.
She was the loving wife of Troy Taylor for over 49 years.
Mrs. Taylor was a native of Burnsville, NC, and a daughter of the late Benjamin and Lora Hylemon Edwards. She was a former secretary with the National Weather Service in Asheville, NC and a member of Northbrook Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, whom she considered her own daughters: Eddie and Karen Taylor of Chapel Hill, NC, and Greg and Maggie Taylor of Simpsonville, SC; a brother: William Edwards of Richmond, VA; a sister: Dale Campbell of Verona, VA; three grandchildren: Sarah Taylor, Zac Taylor, and Anna Taylor.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 28, 2012 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Northbrook Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Benny Green and Rev. Scott Shields. Interment will be on Sunday, December 30, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. at Ashelawn Gardens of Memory in Asheville, NC.

The family will be at their respective homes.
