Mr. John P. Krell, 73, died Tuesday, November 27, 2012, unexpectedly at his winter residence in Vero Beach, FL.

Mr. Krell was a native of Washington County, where he lived most of his life; he also resided in the summer months in Flag Pond TN. He was a son of the late Elizabeth and John Lester Krell. He was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Krell; 2 sisters, Leona Bayne and Mildred Lilley; and 3 brothers, George Krell, Lonnie Krell and Charles Krell.

Mr. Krell retired from Johnson and Johnson after many years as a sales representative.

Surviving: a son Tim Krell and wife, Alisa, Unicoi Co., TN; and a daughter Julie Krell, Vero Beach, FL; 2 brothers, Jim Krell, Jonesborough, and Larry Krell, Johnson City; 2 sisters, Alice Harrell, Jonesborough, and Mary Brown, Johnson City; several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held for John P. Krell, Friday, December 7, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Johnson City with Pastor Pete Tackett officiating.

Receiving of friends will be from 6 to 7 PM prior to the service.

To honor his request his body was donated to the Florida Medical School.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
