Peggy Ruth Morrison Hicks 70, Johnson City, TN, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, November 20, 2012, at Johnson City Medical Center with her family by her side.

Mrs. Hicks was born May 18, 1942, in Washington County, TN, to the late Sarah A. Morrison. She lived in the Washington County, TN, all her life and was a member of the North Johnson City Baptist Church.

Peggy loved to crochet and make quilts.

In addition to her Mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, James R. Hicks; Brothers, Kenneth Morrison, Joe Morrison, Ted Morrison; Sisters, Nancy Black, Helen Chapin and Judy Dumaw.

Survivors include her two sons, Dennis & wife, Patty Hicks, and Mark & wife, Amy Hicks, all of Gray; five grandchildren Stephanie Hicks, of Gray, TN, James Paul, of Jonesborough, TN, Joanna Hicks, of Church Hill, TN, Heather Frazier, of Gray, TN, and Brandon Frazier, of Gray, TN; four sisters, Betty Stricker, of Gray, TN, Jayne & Ken Shotts, of Arcadia, FL, Margaret & Ed Marquez, of Greenfield, OH, and Shirley Lewis, of Johnson City, TN; two brothers, Ray & Linda Morrison, of Fredericktown, OH, and John & Pam Morrison, both of Mt. Vernon, OH.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 8, 2012, from 2:00 till 4:00 p.m. at North Johnson City Baptist Church, 305 Ferndale Rd., Johnson City, TN.

A memorial service will follow at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Rick Powell officiating.
