Road closures and detours throughout Jonesborough will be initiated over the next two days as Norfolk Southern replaces tracks at each railroad crossing in the town.
The work, which begins at 6:30 this morning and will continue through Wednesday afternoon, will begin with the tracks on Spring Street and continue west throughout Jonesborough.
Officials with Jonesborough’s Department of Public Safety said there is a likelihood that several crossings will be closed simultaneously.
The railroad crossings include Spring Street at the Jonesborough city limits, Stage Road at Spring Street, Fox Street at Woodrow Avenue, Second Avenue between Depot and West Main streets and South Third Avenue at Depot Street.

I hope they do a better job there than they did in Johnson City. The crossings are very rough.

Amen truthful! People just need to chill out, relax, slow down, go with the flow, take a detour if necessary.
