Update: Williamson Co. schools remain closed despite arrest

FRANKLIN — Williamson County school administrators elected to keep schools closed today despite an end to the manhunt that prompted the closings Sunday night.

Williamson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested Jeff Vaughn without incident about 9:35 p.m., just about an hour after the director of schools announced that schools would be closed.

FRANKLIN — Williamson County announced on Sunday that schools would be closed on Monday because of a manhunt.

Following is information from the news release from spokesperson Carol Birdsong:

The Williamson County Sheriff's Department has been conducting a manhunt for a Franklin man over the weekend.

Officers are searching for a school district maintenance employee, Jeff Vaughn, related to an incident that allegedly occurred near his home.
