KINGSPORT — A Tuesday morning traffic crash in Kingsport has killed a woman, who police say would have sustained less severe injuries had she been wearing her seat belt.

Kingsport police report the incident occurred at approximately 5 a.m. on Bloomingdale Pike, at the intersection with Bloomington Drive. A 2005 Mazda 6 was westbound when the driver failed to negotiate a curve, crossed the eastbound traffic lane and exited the road.
