Court date upcoming for alleged shoplifter

A Johnson City man arrested on Jan. 19 following an investigation into a shoplifting in December will soon appear in court, according to a police press release.

According to the release, Keenan Acosta, 30, 1410 E. Lakeview Drive, was charged with one count of false report and one count of theft under $500, after he allegedly shoplifted from Walmart, 3111 Browns Mill Road, on Dec. 20.

Acosta was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and was held on $3,500 bond.

His is scheduled to appear in Sessions Court Tuesday.
