ELIZABETHTON — A man was found guilty on a charge of initiation of process intended to result in the manufacture of methamphetamine and simple possession of morphine by a Carter County jury Wednesday, according to a release from the district attorney general’s office.

According to the release, Henry Poole II was arrested Feb. 5 by the Carter County Sheriff’s Department and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Officers then located five morphine pills and 39 pseudophedrine pills without their coatings in his possession.

Poole is being housed with the Tennessee Department of Correction on a parole violation and was already serving an eight-year sentence handed down in 2005 for initiation of the process intended to result in the manufacture of methamphetamine.

He was on parole when the 2012 offense occurred and Judge Robert Cupp is scheduled to sentence Poole on Feb. 15.

According to the release, he could receive a sentence between eight and 12 years on the new conviction.
