La FOLLETTE — An East Tennessee woman was killed Sunday when her SUV hydroplaned on Interstate 75 and struck a guardrail, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

The single-vehicle crash was reported at 1:44 p.m. at mile marker 157 along I-75 South in Campbell County, according to the incident report.

The victim, Elizabeth Elsevier, 42, of Kingsport was behind the wheel of a 1998 Toyota 4-Runner when the vehicle hydroplaned in heavy rain, skidded off the roadway and struck the guardrail.
