Seniors and community members gathered for one last party Tuesday at the Johnson City Seniors’ Center, 607 E. Myrtle Ave., celebrating the end of a 38-year era as they move from their current building into their new spot in the Memorial Park Community Center that opens Saturday.

The “Sailing Away” travel expo and farewell party for the center was held from 1-7 p.m. and a large group of people filtered in and out of the center to bid it goodbye.
