Johnson City police charged Brittney Johnson, 21, 687 Old Stage Coach Road, Jonesborough, with theft over $1,000. The charge stems from a shoplifting case at Walmart, 2915 W. Market St.

Her hearing was scheduled for Monday in Sessions Court.

Because it's Walmart, the low price leader. Thieves just think they should be able to set their own price when they walk out with that new TV (the NEW low, low price. Free is good...)

Speaking of shoplifting tv's at walmart....saw a funny one a few years back. Yes, and even at WalMart. A man and woman tried to walk out with a tv and got caught in the foyer (where the coke machines and video games were). When I got there, the man was huddled in a corner weeping and the woman was on the floor struggling with 3 security guards. She had managed to tear the shirt off of one of them and was putting up the greatest caterwauling one had ever heard. None of the witnesses to this event could contain their mirth. I think that made the woman madder than she was at even being caught.

Why do these dummies think they can get away with this? Are they really that stupid or just too desperate to care? Let's nominate this one for a Darwin Award.
