A Telford man who lost control of his car and crashed into a motel building on West Market Street Thanksgiving Day is now charged with injuring his two passengers.
Jonothan C. Davis, 22, 715 Sugar Hollow Road, now faces two counts of reckless endangerment with an automobile. He is apparently still hospitalized with injuries he received in the wreck.
According to police, Davis was eastbound on Market Street around 2:30 p.m. Thanksgiving Day and driving too fast when he went off the right side of the road, traveled about 300 feet before overcorrecting.
The car “traveled approximately 750 feet across five lanes of traffic,” then hit an embankment in front of the Johnson Inn. The car went airborne for about 70 feet, hit the motel’s pool fence and traveled another 60 feet before slamming through the front wall of the office.
Davis' two passengers, Brittany Hartley, 17, of Gray and Cora Kelly, 17, of Jonesborough were seriously injured.
No one in the car was wearing their seat belt, police said.
According to a Mountain States Health Alliance spokeswoman, Kelly was the only one of the crash victims at the hospital system. She was at James H. and Cecile C. Quillen Rehabilitation Hospital.

As bad as this is, it is absolutely amazing that at the speed he was traveling and to travel across five lanes of traffic, that he did not hit another car. From the time he lost control, he went over 1,000 feet and was still going fast enough that after he hit the grass bank in front of Johnson's Inn that he went airborne for another 70 feet.

This is brittanys sister, everything in this statement is completely wrong. First, Brittany is from Telford, second Brittany did have her seatbelt on and she was the only one who did; we know this for a fact because the seatbelt had to be cut off by the firefighter and by the bruises on her neck and lap from the belt. Davis is not in the hospital and had no injuries, but was checked into Woodridge, where he was released 48 hrs after. Before you go making assumptions please get your facts correct, and Just for the record she is still hospitalized but had to be transported to a more andvance hospital. Thank you.
