A four-part evening workshops on food preservation will be offered at Carver Park and Recreation Center in mid-July.
The University of Tennessee Extension’s “canning college” sessions will be offered for $50 on Monday and Thursday evenings, July 11, 14, 18 and 21, from 5:30 to 8:30.
Participants will learn to make jams and jellies and how to water-bath can, pressure can and pickle. They also will receive a food preservation book and at least one preserved product.
