Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Edward Cross, Afton, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, at a private family celebration.

The couple were married on Nov. 22, 1962, at McCalla Avenue Baptist Church, Knoxville, by the Rev. Raymond A. Smith.

Mr. Cross retired from Weavexx, formerly Formex Corp., Greeneville, as a design engineer.

Mrs. Cross is the former Mary Agnes Burroughs. She is a retired vice president of human resources, Jones Media Inc., Greeneville.

The couple have two children, Kathy Cross Mead and husband Duane of Jonesborough, and Thomas Edward Cross Jr. of Chuckey; and five grandchildren.
